Leila Fenelon, CEO & Founder

Leila has over 15 years of experience in marketing and insights at every stage of the product life-cycle, sitting on both the brand and consultancy side, working along the spectrum of startup to multi-national CPG.

After earning a degree in engineering, Leila started her career in brand management at Procter & Gamble where she managed the Herbal Essences business in the Middle East, and led the launch of the brand in Egypt.  She then moved to Los Angeles where she earned her MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.  Since then, she has headed new products and curated the research and insights program at Hyland’s, a leading natural pharmaceutical in the US, launching dozens of new products. She then moved over to the consultancy side and joined ConsumerQuest, a boutique market research firm, where she led numerous research projects for companies in both the public and private sectors.

Illume Insights was founded in 2017, with a mission to serve as a client and brand advocate through quality, cost-effective and strategic primary research.  Since then, Illume has helped a wide variety of companies test the viability of new products, optimize existing products, assess categories and consumer preferences, establish research roadmaps and much more, from supersonic airplanes to wellness shots and software.
